The DONA International Virtual Conference is underway – are you attending?
If so, don’t miss my interactive session Movement as a Tool for Labor, happening today August 7th at approximately 2:15 EST, after the Board of Directors is introduced.
I hope you will get up and dance with me! I’ll be teaching the Five S’s – five body movements that help create comfort, utilize gravity to bring the baby down and out, mobilize the pelvis so baby can fully access the usable space, open the pelvic outlet for ease of birth, guide baby into an optimal position, and release muscle tension.
After the session live chat with me today in the conference chat room, and live tweet #dancingforbirth #donaconference
It is so exciting when doulas come together from around the world as they are doing today at the DONA Conference. I love and appreciate doulas for their tireless dedication to birthing families. I myself was on call year-round for many years as a DONA Certified birth doula while also raising my four young children, so I know firsthand the love and sacrifice it takes to be a doula. Thank you doulas everywhere!
